DocTrak Data Tracking System (DTS)

	Designed and developed to facilitate tracking paper records, CDs, and other research materials DocTrak, a member of the EPL Archives’ TrakWare® family of software, is a software application that tracks paper data files, records, and associated items including their initial receipt, detailed inventory, storage boxes and locations, and transactions (for example, check-out, sale, and destruction). DocTrak was designed and developed from the ground up to be flexible, robust, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliant..

			Designed by Archivists for Archiving Documents the receipt, description, and transaction history for the materials cataloged into the system. 			Barcode Technology Barcode technology is incorporated into DocTrak to facilitate identifying and locating the stored material. Barcodes may be generated for individual items, containers, storage shelves, and so forth. This minimizes the chance of user entry error and provides flexibility for using the available space in the facility. However, the barcode technology is optional. Any task that is done with a barcode scanner can be done with the keyboard.
