Quality Assurance
At EPL Archives (EPL) we recognize the importance of a strong and active Quality Assurance program. We demonstrate our commitment to quality by serving as corporate sponsors to both the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA) and the National Capital Area Society of Quality Assurance (NCARSQA).
EPL maintains a rigorous quality program that includes:
- GXP and safety training programs - conducted at scheduled intervals to ensure employees remain compliant with regulations and current trends within the industry;
- Biomaterial inspections – conducted at scheduled intervals to ensure the proper preservation of materials and to provide remediation of biomaterials, as needed;
- Internal quality assurance inspections – conducted to ensure biomaterials are processed and maintained according to applicable regulatory requirements and internal standard operating procedures;
- Validation inspections – conducted to ensure appropriate system testing is performed according to applicable regulatory requirements and internal standard operating procedures;
- Vendor assessment inspections – conducted to ensure services are performed as contracted and meet applicable industry standards; and
- Equipment maintenance inspections – conducted to ensure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer recommendations and calibrated at appropriate intervals.
Our quality assurance team has over 30 years of experience in regulated environments and participates in the Registered Quality Assurance Professional (RQAP) certification program that is accredited through the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA).
The quality program at EPL encompasses a variety of government regulations, industry best practices and internal standard operating procedures such as:
- Good Laboratory Practices (GLP);
- Good Clinical Practices (GCP);
- Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP);
- The International Society of Biological Environmental Repositories (ISBER).
Internal/External Audits
EPL’s Quality Assurance program conducts regular internal audits for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and our best practice Standard Operating Procedures. These internal audits include remote and on-site audits of our facilities, fleet, and vendors.
