2012 represents the 51st annual meeting for the SOT organization and will be held March 11th-15th, 2012 in San Francisco, CA. SOT bills its annual meeting as the largest toxicology meeting and exhibition in the world. Attendance at the 2012 event is expected to exceed 7,400 scientists from academia, government, and industry from various countries around the globe.

The Society of Quality Assurance’s (SQA) 2012 Annual Meetting will be held Tuesday, April 24 – Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Miami Hyatt Regency in Miami, Florida.

The theme of the 2012 meeting will be Balancing the Past, Present and Future. Three days of plenary and concurrent sessions will explore hot topics and the latest regulatory interpretations in the field. Sessions will focus on regulatory-based topics in manufacturing (GMPs), preclinical (GLPs) and clinical (GCPs) research arenas.

This year’s theme for the AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition is “The Next 25 Years.” Colin M. Minchom, Ph.D., Annual Meeting Programming Committee chair-elect noted when explaining this year’s theme, “When AAPS was formed in 1986, none of the founders anticipated the changes that led to today’s shape of the pharmaceutical sciences, the shape of the industry, the regulatory climate, and societal pressures on the cost-benefit of therapies. What will happen in our industry in the next 25 years?”
