EPL to Present at April 2012 SQA Quality College

EPL Archives is collaborating with Pfizer, Allergan, and Azure Lane Consulting to deliver a Quality College Workshop – “Archiving 101: What You Need To Know About GLP Compliant Archives” on Monday April 23, 2012 at the Miami Hyatt Regency in Miami, Florida.

The April 2012 Quality College is being held in conjunction with the 28th SQA Annual Meeting. The half-day GLP course will feature speakers Cheryl Allman and Katherine M Hartney, of EPL Archives; Rémy Engerran, of Pfizer Inc; Susan L Meeker CQA, RQAP-GLP, of Azure Lane Consulting LLC; and Deborah K Yackle, of Allergan Inc.

The target audience for the course includes new GLP auditors or those newly responsible for establishing and/or maintaining a GLP archive.

The theme of this year’s SQA Annual Meeting, which runs from Sunday, April 22 through Friday, April 27th, is Balancing the Past, Present and Future. EPL will also be exhibiting at this event. EPL Archives Joins Virginia Biotechnology Association

STERLING, VA (February 3, 2012) —EPL Archives, announced that it has joined the Virginia Biotechnology Association (VABIO),  the premier statewide non-profit trade association representing the life sciences industry in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

EPL Archives will be participating in and exhibiting at The Society of Toxicology’s (SOT) annual meeting in 2012.

2012 represents the 51st annual meeting for the SOT organization and will be held March 11th-15th, 2012 in San Francisco, CA. SOT bills its annual meeting as the largest toxicology meeting and exhibition in the world. Attendance at the 2012 event is expected to exceed 7,400 scientists from academia, government, and industry from various countries around the globe.

Scientific Themes

In addition to networking opportunities, SOT’s 2012 annual meeting will feature five scientific themes:

EPL Archives will be attending and participating in the 28th Annual Meeting of the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA) in April of 2012.

The Society of Quality Assurance’s (SQA) 2012 Annual Meeting will be held Sunday, April 22 – Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Miami Hyatt Regency in Miami, Florida.

The theme of the 2012 meeting will be Balancing the Past, Present and Future. Three days of plenary and concurrent sessions will explore hot topics and the latest regulatory interpretations in the field. Sessions will focus on regulatory-based topics in manufacturing (GMPs), preclinical (GLPs) and clinical (GCPs) research arenas. Representatives from EPL will be presenting on GLP-compliant archiving, as detailed in our post, EPL to Present at April 2012 SQA Quality College.

Increased Liquid Nitrogen Storage

EPL Archives adds increased liquid nitrogen storage capacity to satisfy global sample management needs of major biopharmaceutical clients.

EPL Archives, Inc. (EPL) regularly expands its storage capacity for all types of client biomaterial assets including:

  • +20°C CRT;
  • 4°–8°C;
  • -20°C;
  • -70°/-80°C; and
  • Liquid Nitrogen or LN2.

Past Event: EPL to Attend AAPS, Oct. 2011

EPL Archives will be attending the 2011 Annual Meeting and Exposition of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) to be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC from October 23rd through 27th, 2011.

This year’s theme for the AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition is “The Next 25 Years.” Colin M. Minchom, Ph.D., Annual Meeting Programming Committee chair-elect noted when explaining this year’s theme, “When AAPS was formed in 1986, none of the founders anticipated the changes that led to today’s shape of the pharmaceutical sciences, the shape of the industry, the regulatory climate, and societal pressures on the cost-benefit of therapies. What will happen in our industry in the next 25 years?”

FDA Director to Keynote

Janet Woodcock, M.D., director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the Food and Drug Administration, will provide her views on regulation into the future in her keynote address on Sunday, October 23rd. Other presenters include:

  • John Lechleiter, Ph.D., President and CEO of Eli Lilly and Company
  • Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D., Director, U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sir Michael Rawlins, M.D., Chairman of the National Institute of Health & Clinical Excellence (NICE) of the United Kingdom
