EPL maintains an industry leading team of biorepository specialists who are rigorously trained in GXP, laboratory safety, chemical hygiene and best-in-class SOPs. At the core of EPL’s client experience is your Client Specialist who ensures the coordination, tracking, and oversight of all EPL services and solutions.
Our Facilities
EPL owns its specialized facilities and currently maintains over 1,000,000 cubic feet of purpose-built, secure, and environmentally controlled storage space. We currently have tens of millions of client biomaterials assets under active storage and management.
Our Procedures
EPL provides GXP-compliant biomaterials repository services and solutions that enable full traceability and accountability. EPL delivers services according to proprietary SOPs that incorporate innovative technology and methods for maximizing the quality and extending the life of our clients’ biomaterials, research data, and manufactured goods.
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA); the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); the Virginia Department of Health’s Division of Radiological Health & Safety; and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have inspected EPL.
In addition to regulatory inspections, EPL regularly hosts compliance inspections for clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, agrichemical and cosmetic industries as well as various trade organizations.
Our Technology
EPL utilizes validated, 21CFR Part 11 compliant telemetry monitoring technology to monitor and manage environmental conditions throughout its facilities. All client biomaterials information is recorded in our industry leading family of LabTrak® systems. EPL’s full-time software engineers designed, developed, and maintain our systems. EPL has extensive experience in bar-code programming, Oracle® database development, Microsoft® Access® development, documentation tools, and validation in regulated environments.
